PRESENTATION

The Brussels Grand Prix is an event organized every year by Brussels Athletics.

This meeting is one of the great moments of athletics in Belgium and aims to showcase our best Brussels athletes by offering them an international competition but also by allowing local athletes to come and compete.

In the pre-programme, young athletes can participate in a national meet. Our aim is to let everybody participate in this Track and Field festival and let them try out the ultra fast track of the Roi Baudoin stadium.

Objective: promotion of athletics and brussels athletes in the Brussels region and beyond.

The Brussels Grand Prix is an international athletics meeting that has existed since 2008.

Our goal is to:

  • to offer as many athletes as possible the opportunity to put on a great performance on the legendary track of the King Baudouin Stadium.
  • provide optimal conditions to achieve records and/or minimums for international championships.
  • Encourage Brussels athletes by offering them international competitions.

Every year the meeting rises in the world ranking (since 2015 we are anchored in the top 100).  In addition, there are also handisport events for young people and for the regional level on the program. Conviviality and inspiration are the common thread in the Grand Prix of Brussels.

Renowned athletes such as Nafissatou Thiam, Ladji Doucouré, Michael Frater, Filip Milanov, Vivian Cheruiyot, Eline Berings, Adam Gemili, European 100m recorders Francis Obikwelu and Jimmy Vicaut Leslie Djhone, Thomas Vanderplaetsen, Nick Willis, Eilidh Doyle, Zhang Guowei, or the Borlée brothers. A nice selection of international medal winners together.
